There's a gacha system (as always), which means that character acquisition and levelling rely somewhat on luck. Some units are more powerful than others, and the scaling of characters can become complicated when you level up. Matchmaking may at times place you against much stronger enemies, so advancement may be slow sometimes - specifically if you are playing for free.
On the other hand, there are daily missions, story quests, and numerous characters you can collect thus there is never a moment you will feel bored — even if you are only here for the waifus.
The truth is — the art is a huge part of the game’s attraction. The characters look absolutely gorgeous (far better than many mainstream games), the backgrounds are very detailed, and the overall is quite well thought out for an adult game.
